Tmesis Theatre Masterclass

22nd July 2010

Masterclass in Glasgow as part of Conflux festival

www.conflux.co.uk

The workshop will be an introduction to Tmesis Theatre’s unique style of movement based theatre, focusing on the physical aspect of the company’s work. The workshop will begin with a warm up and company training looking at strength, flexibility, rhythm and expression. We will then focus on methods of creating physical material using both specific exercises and improvisation with an emphasis on the narrative and intention behind the movement whilst encouraging participants to push through their barriers. The training methods have been enriched by the company’s challenging collaborations with Derevo and Pina Bausch Tanztheater.
