MOVEMENT DIRECTION

Our Artistic Director, Elinor Randle, can offer specialist movement direction for your film or theatre project. She has worked with numerous organisations and companies including; Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse, Peepolykus, Box of Tricks, 20 Stories High, Fadunito and Lizzie Nunnery.

“Elinor always brings striking creativity and focus to a rehearsal or development process. Having worked with her on cross-disciplinary pieces Narvik and Horny Handed Tons of Soil, I’ve hugely valued her input in to the wider creative process, alongside her precise, grounded and highly skilled approach to movement. She is expert in telling stories through physicality, and has an instinctive ability to draw compelling physical performances from others.”

Lizzie Nunnery, Playwright

“Elinor is a great movement director: passionate, energetic and incredibly detailed. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her on Narvik, and was particularly impressed with how well she adapted to working with a mixed ensemble of experienced, physical actors and musicians with little or no experience of movement. Elinor is an asset to a company and I look forward to working with her on future projects.”

RUNNING, SUSTAINING AND DEVELOPING A PERFORMING ARTS COMPANY

This session is aimed at emerging companies who have been in existence for under 5 years and are looking for ways to sustain and develop their practice. It will offer practical guidance on development, touring, marketing, strategy and fundraising, and will help you question and articulate what you do and why you do it.

“Tmesis cast an insightful light on the nuances of running and developing a theatre company in the current climate, by warm heartedly sharing their own artistic and strategic practices. These workshops can be a valuable moment of reflection for any arts practitioner.”
