HOW TO WOO THE AUDIENCE BEING A POTATO
The art of captivating the audience being a clown, by Madame Señorita
Thurs 10th and Fri 11th July 2025- Liverpool- presented by Physical Fest
In this workshop, we will be using clown training to focus on the relationship we build with the audience. We will dive deep in our vulnerability to discover “our individual theme/game” that will allow us to play with the public. What does the audience see when they look at you? How can you establish a gentle, honest, playful connection with them? An invitation to understand the stage as somewhere where masks fall, and collective catharsis emerges.
Madame Señorita (led by Paula Valluerca) is an international physical theater company that explores the concept of ridicule, the social mask, and relates it to fear, failure, and desire. Madame Señorita aims to parody social norms through idiotic provocation, always playing on the fine line between truth
and artifice.
